Driver’s age
The minimum age is 21 years old for A, B, C, C1, C2, CC, F1 groups. For D, D1, J groups the driver should be over 25 years old.
Driving License
For all Car groups : Category B
For Quad : Category B
For Motorcycles, depending your age and the category you have chosen, you will be able to drive:
Category AM : moped until 50 cc
Category A1 : scooters until 125 cc
Category A2 : motorcycles 126 cc – 1000 cc automatic and 126 cc – 400 cc with clutch
Category A : All motorcycles (any cubism)
The driving license must be issued at least one year ahead the rental day. The renter must carry a valid driving license (based on category). No refund is given for rentals rejected due to non-production of a valid driving license. Facsimiles/photocopies of licenses are not acceptable.
Minimum Rental Period
The minimum rental period is 24hours.
Cancellation Policy (prior to arrival date)
If cancelled 14 + days prior to the arrival date, 100% of the total deposit fee is refundable.
If cancelled 14 – days prior to the arrival date, no refund is possible.
Early Returns – Unused days or Non-show
No refund is made for early returns, unused days or non-show.
Pick up/ Delivery of the Rented Car
Pick up and delivery of the rented car may be accomplished at the port, hotel, heliport 24 hours per day – in agreement with the renter and Alonnisos Travel® agency.
Fuel Policy
Full to full. In the event that at its return the AT vehicle is in less quantity, the renter will be charged the value of the missing fuel as well as the cost for the Refueling Service.
Guarantee/ Booking Payment
Alonnisos Travel® requires from the renter the 30% of the total amount of the reservation as a prepayment. The prepayment can be accomplished either by credit card, pay pal or at the company’s bank account.
The credit card is compulsory even if the renter pays the bill in cash.
Rental rates Taxes
The rental rates are calculated on a 24 hour basis.
Taxes
Value added tax (VAT) of 24% & City tax are included in the rates.
Ferrying the rented car
Beyond request to Alonnisos Travel® agency. Ferrying is allowed only for journeys to Skopelos and Skiathos islands. The renter should always inform Alonnisos Travel® when taking a rented AT vehicle in a ferry.
Provision of cars
Alonnisos Travel® reserves the right to refuse to provide a car to any renter who is, in their opinion, unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements.
In case the renter is not satisfied in any way with the standard of the booked car, he SHOULD contact Alonnisos Travel® the SOONEST POSSIBLE.
Such situations are to be handled with Alonnisos Travel® locally. Failure to do so, may result in claims being rejected or unsettled.
Number of passengers
Please check the car specifications into online booking, as Alonnisos Travel® cannot accept responsibility in case the vehicle booked is not large enough to fit renter’s needs.
Force Majeure
Alonnisos Travel® is not liable for either a failure to perform or delay in performing any of its obligations under this booking agreement in case a performance is delayed, hindered or prevented due to force majeure, meaning any event beyond the reasonable control of Alonnisos Travel®, such as natural disasters, etc.
– The terms and conditions as well as the rental agreement signed on pick up are governed by local laws and are legally binding on the renter
– The renter assumes full responsibility for the traffic violations and pays the respective fines

- Third Party Insurance – TPI (Motor Liability Insurance, Legal Liability Insurance)
What’s covered?
The policy covers third parties in case of death or body injuries when using the AT vehicle, including passengers (but excluding the driver of the AT vehicle), up to €1,220,000 and material damages to third parties up to €1,220,000.
What’s not covered?
Theft or attempted theft of the vehicle
Theft of personal belongings from the vehicle
Death or injury of the driver
Damage of the rented vehicle
What’s the cost?
The cost is included in the rental price
- Personal Accident Insurance – PAI
What’s covered?
The driver is covered for up to €50,000 in case of death or body injuries and up to €2,000 for hospital costs.
What’s not covered?
Any accidents occurring outside of the AT vehicle are not covered, neither are any accidents incurred pre -or post- the rental period.

The cost is included in the rental price
- Collision Damage Waiver Insurance – CDW (LDW in Australia – NZ – USA)
What’s covered?
If the rental car is damaged (except by attempted theft) the tenant will be covered for the cost of repairs to the AT vehicle.
Assuming the renter’s responsibility for the damage, the tenant has to pay an amount (excess) up to a maximum of: € 600 for car groups A, B, F, € 650 for car groups C, CC, C1, € 750 for car groups F1, C2, CC2 and € 800 for car groups D, D1 & J, towards the repair costs, storage charges and loss of revenue to Alonnisos Travel®.

Damage caused intentionally or by negligence
Damages caused to tyres, mirrors or the lower part of the car
Damage caused by using incorrect fuel
Damage caused as a result of a breach of the rental agreement’s terms and conditions
What’s the cost?
The cost is included in the rental price
- Vehicle Theft Insurance & Fire – TP (Theft Protection)
What’s covered?
The cost of replacing the rental car (either wholly or in part) in case of theft.
Assuming the renter’s responsibility for the damage, the tenant has to pay an amount (excess) up to a maximum of: € 600 for car groups A, B, F, € 650 for car groups C, CC, C1, € 750 for car groups F1, C2, CC2 and € 800 for car groups D, D1 & J, towards the repair costs, storage charges and loss of revenue to Alonnisos Travel®.
What’s not covered?
Negligence regarding the loading of the AT vehicle (i.e. unsupervised vehicle or forgotten keys)
Damages or theft of personal belongings kept in the car
Accidents that occurred after the theft
What’s the cost?
The cost is included in the rental price
- Super Collision Damage Waiver Insurance – SCDW, Excess Reduction
What’s covered?
This policy reduces the limited excess to 50% of the Collision Damage Waiver Insurance – CDW likewise of Theft Insurance & Fire – TP. By buying this insurance the limited excess will be reduced in half (of course this is only for self-provoked damages) i.e the renter has to pay an amount (excess) up to a maximum of: € 300 for car groups A, B, F, € 325 for car groups C, CC, C1, € 375 for car groups F1, C2, CC2 and € 400 for car groups D, D1 & J, towards the repair costs, storage charges and loss of revenue to Alonnisos Travel®.

Damages caused to tyres, mirrors or the lower part of the car
Damage caused by using incorrect fuel

- Super Cover Insurance, Zero Excess
What’s covered?
This completely eliminates the excess amounts of the Collision Damage Waiver Insurance – CDW and of Theft Insurance & Fire – TP, for all car groups. A mandatory condition is that the renter completes and signs the Alonnisos Travel® Accident report before the end of the rental period.
If another vehicle is involved in the accident to the AT vehicle, it is mandatory that the renter calls the Roadside Assistance Company specified by Alonnisos Travel®, in order to verify details of the accident and photograph the vehicles involved.

Damages caused to tyres, mirrors or the lower part of the car

- Roadside Assistance
What’s covered?
Assistance will be provided if cars keys are lost or locked inside the car
Assistance will be provided in case of a flat battery
Replacement of a flat or damaged tyre with the spare of the AT vehicle, in order to continue your journey without further delays
Assistance will be provided in cases of the AT vehicle is run out of fuel
What’s not covered?
The cost of replacement keys in case of loss
Damaged tyres caused intentionally or by negligence, i.e. driving some distance on a flat tyre so rendering it irreparable
Battery damage caused intentionally or by negligence
The cost of any fuel supplied as a result of running out of fuel
What’s the cost?
The cost is € 1,00 per day
- Customers purchasing Super Cover Insurance are entitled to all the benefits of Roadside Assistance, free of charge.
What is “excess”?
In the event of an accident or theft of the AT vehicle, an amount (called excess) has to be paid.
Extra insurance, which is not automatically included in the price of your car hire, will either reduce (Excess Reduction) or eliminate (Zero Excess) this amount.
What does “additional driver” mean?
The rental car is insured for one person – the named driver. If others are to drive your AT car, then those people need to be present and show their driving licenses when the car is picked up. There will be an additional charge for each driver.
No Insurance Coverage shall apply to :
- Damages caused to tyres, mirrors or the lower part of the car
- Damages or theft of personal belongings kept in the car
- Any incident inside the car during transport by ship or any other means
- Any incident while the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Accidents caused when the driver has not been declared in the rental contract
- The renter assumes full responsibility for the traffic violations and pays the respective fines
- All rental cars are insured for a maximum number of passengers. For your safety this number should not be exceeded and in any case it does, the insurance will be invalidated
